Yes, it's true that after spending 14+ years at Stoney Creek, I've stepped out of the gym and into a classroom with carpet.
While my personality has remained the same, my classroom expectations have changed dramatically. Running everywhere as fast as you can, screaming at the top of your lungs, and kicking and throwing stuff at each other and/or around the room are no longer the norm!
Now, I use desks, paper, pens, pencils, and books to teach my students.
While it will be a bit of a change for everyone, it is something that I predict will be a positive thing. Instead of seeing my students only once or twice a week for up to 35 minutes, I'll get to see them every day for nearly an hour!
